Shaped JT is a proudly Canadian turnkey business startup company with a studio in North Vancouver, BC. Our close-knit team helps new owners across Canada plan, launch and grow businesses they love, with the same person beside you from start to finish.

Our story

We proved it in a two-bedroom condo.

Shaped JT began in 2017, incorporated in 2018 and rebranded in 2022. At its heart is a simple truth: our owners were small-business owners themselves. They know what it takes to open your doors, and what’s at stake when you do.

We’ve also shown what’s possible in the smallest of spaces. Our own studio opened in a compact two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in North Vancouver and grew into a six-figure income stream.

If it can happen in a condo, imagine what your spare room could become.

That’s why we build the whole engine with you: the plan, the paperwork, the funding prep, the space, the training and the launch. You bring the dream. We help you shape it.

A beautiful treatment room is an output. So is a café menu or a pottery studio. What we really build is the engine underneath: the plan, the funding prep, the space, the training and the mentorship that keep a business running long after opening day.

We build every kind of business. Right now, we specialize in beauty startups because they offer the fastest return on investment with low overhead.

Treatments like body contouring, hydradermabrasion and microneedling need very little space, so a spare room or basement can become a calm, professional studio. For a first-time owner, that’s the quickest path we know to opening your doors.

It all begins with pen and paper.

Every space we design starts the same way: your measurements, a few questions about your style, and a sketch. From there, a forgotten room can become a studio, a café or a classroom.

Smaller renovations usually take under 12 hours; larger projects, a few days.
One small studio renovation was finished in just 8 hours.
Nearly every reveal includes a surprise element, just for you.
